- (2)/(3) w + 5 = 4

Refine:

5 - (2w)/(3) = 4

Multiply both sides by 3 :

3 * 5 -3* (2w)/(3) = 3*4

Refine:

15 - 2 w = 12

Subtract 15 from both sides:

15 - 2w - 15 = 12 - 15

- 2w = -3

Divide both side by -2 :

(-2w)/(-2) = (-3)/(-2)

w = (3)/(2)

hope this helps!.
