4 quarters = $1.00
3 dimes = $.30
2 nickels = $.10
2 pennies = $.02
Total = $1.42
Then you take the amount of dimes ($.30) and divide it by the total ($1.42)
Therefore your fraction is 30/142 or simplified 15/71.
