Can someone explain how mountain chains provide evidence to support the theory of continental drift? My sister has been begging me to ask someone. :P

Thanks,

Sergeant Addison

Well, mountain ranges are a result of two plates colliding, pushing the earth up and out of the water as they overlap.  The continental drift occurred because plates moved apart from each other and collided elsewhere.
