We have an equation: 4/10= 9.40/?
Cross multiply:
4*? = 9.40*10
⇒ ?= 9.40*10/4= 23.5
10 students would spend $23.50 on the same school lunch

you will need to know how much each lunch cost
so
9.40
÷ 4 = 2.35
so each lunch cost 2.35 dollars
now we need to find out how much it will cost for 10 lunches
10 x 2.35 = 23.5
so for 10 lunches it will cost 23.5
