5(-2) - 2(3)

-10 - 6

-1(10 + 6)

x = -2 and y = 3

5x - 2y = 0

Substitute the values of x and y.

5(-2) - 2(3) = 0

-10 - 6 = -16

*remember: when you subtract a number from a negative number, you add the numbers and carry over the negative sign.
