Douglass's account is written in 1881, twenty-two years after the raid.Do you trust his account?

Assuming you're referring to the raid on Harper's Ferry, Douglass's account could indeed be trusted based on the fact that he had communicated extensively with John Brown (although his bias should still be taken into account, of course).
