I'm not understanding ratios and i need help with the meaning of this.

When understanding ratios, we need to know that it compares two quantities.

Remember this:- A ratio does NOT include units. It only compares two quantities.

Three ways to write a ratio:-

3/5 3:5 3 to 5

Example:- The ratio of boys to girls is 4 to 6.

Write a ratio.

4:6 or 4/6 or 4 to 6.
