The second "x", the one that's after 4. Does it represent a multiplication sign or a variable?
If it represents a multiplication sign:
By the distributive property
-4(8 + 3x) = -32 - 12x
If it represents a variable:
-4x(8 + 3x) = -32x - 12(x^2)
