Well, this is how to turn fractions into mixed numbers. Keep in mind that only improper fractions can become mixed numbers. Anyway, you have to divide the numerator by the denominator. So;
33/4
When you divide 33 by 4, you get 8 with 1 as a remainder. So the whole number will be 8. Now, you have to use the remainder as the numerator and the former denominator as the denominator. So that will be;
8 1/4.
To prove that this is right, multiply the denominator (4) by the whole number. And add the number gotten to the numerator (1) and make it all over 4. And when you do that, you realize that you get 33/4. THE NUMBER AT THE BEGINNING. Hope i helped. Have a nice day.
