Well Hitler's plan was to get rid of the Jews, so that isn't the answer. He wasn't going to house Japanese traders, and the British weren't really collaborators. The space was for the Aryan race.
As for your first question they invaded Poland, where they annexed the city of Danzig. This happened on October 8th, though the takeover actually began in September and is known as the September campaign.
