Soybeans are renewable on an annual basis ... grow another
crop of them.

Petroleum (oil), coal, and natural gas are renewable only on an
epochal basis. If you want nature to replace the amount that you
used today, you'll have to wait around for several million years.
The oil, coal, and natural gas that you burned today came from
dead dinosaurs.
