Momentum = (mass) times (speed) .

This simple formula shows that momentum is directly proportional
to speed.

Double the speed ==> double the momentum.

Triple the speed ==> triple the momentum.

Cut speed in half ==> cut momentum in half.

Reduce the speed 38.2% ==> reduce the momentum 38.2% .
