How did Rasputin affect the relationship between the government and the people of Russia?

Rasputin had mental problems, so during the Nicholas II's absence, his ruling (technically) ghastly affected to the Russian people. People lost their faith to the Nicholas II's ruling ability and to the future of the Russia. After that, revolutions and all those USSR stuffs happened.
