The reason why labor changed during the industrial revolution was because with the invention of new ways of producing goods, workers had to be rearranged accordingly as well. The tempo of production became much higher and people were expected to provide the factory owner with more output in terms of made goods. Furthermore, more and more labor became mechanized as opposed to being done by hand as in the past.
