Skeletal muscle is attached to bones or other body parts by fibrous CONNECTIVE tissue.

This fibrous connective tissue is called tendons. Tendon or sinew connects the muscle to bone and is capable of withstanding tension.

Tendons are similar to ligament and fasciae; They all are made up of collagen. Ligaments join one bone to another bone, while fasciae join one muscle to other muscles.
