The commercial revolution helped lead to the industrial revolution because during the industrial revolution the trade routes and relationships that had been established during the commercial revolution were utilized to sell and buy many of the goods that were produced in the Industrial Revolution.

During the industrial revolution the "stage was set" in terms of speed of production of goods for the commercial revolution to take place. Without the industrial revolution, the commercial revolution would never have happened as people wouldn't have enough resources and goods to produce things at the required speed.
