The Treaty of Tordesillas was the treaty between Spain and Portugal in the year 1494. This was an agreement that cleared up confusion between the Spanish and the Portuguese regarding the new found land of America. The treaty was signed by Spain on 2nd of July and by Portugal on 5th of September in the year of 1494. This treaty worked perfectly between the two countries Portugal and Spain although both countries were pretty ignorant about the geography of the new found land. his agreement excluded all the other European countries.
