A. to go to Ninevah and tell the people there to change their ways.
This is what god sent Jonah to do, but instead, he was afraid and hid on his ship, he went the other way, turned his cheek on god.
Jonah, as you all may know already, is the character in the bible that is known for being swallowed by a big whale for 3 days.
