The progressive era was a period in the history of the United States. It was a period of social activism and political reform. It started in the 1890s and ended in the 1920s. The people involved in this movement focused on family and education, prohibition and women's rights. The movement also focused on getting rid of corruption. The results of the progressive era were the eighteenth and nineteenth amendments and women were given the right to vote.
