Ulysses S. Grant is the 18th President of the United States. Ulysses S. Grant was born on 27th April in the year 1822 and died on 23rd July 1885.He was the commanding general of another great person by the name of Abraham Lincoln. During the American Civil War, he led the Union Army to a resounding victory over the armies of the Confederacy. Grant was elected as the President of the United States of America twice. Grant first became the President of the United States of America in the year 1868 and was again re-elected as President in the year 1872.
