As a structural functionalist, I believe that the whole is greater than its parts. As society has become industrialized, the bonds that once held it together have weakened. We are finding a new form of unity because the specialization of jobs has made us dependent on one another. Who am I?

A. Émile Durkheim
B. Karl Marx
C. Gerhard Lenski
D. Max Weber

The correct answer is A, Emile Durkheim. None of the other people are structural functionalists, only Durkheim is, but they did nevertheless all together influence many left wing political theoreticians of modern age.
