This is called the Fertile Crescent!

The Fertile Crescent included, apart from Mesopotamia (today's parts of Syria and Iraq, also Kuwait and small part of Turkey), also Egypt and the land between the two: today's Israel and Palestine, refereed to as Phoenicia at the time .
