A newly-planted tree needs to be staked with three wires. Each wire is attached to the trunk 3 feet above the ground, and then anchored to the ground 4 feet from the based of the tree. How much wire is needed for 6 trees?

Since the total amount of wire is 7, given the three feet above ground and the four feet below, there's three wires per tree, and the six trees required, the ultimate problem is 7 x 3 x 6, or 126 total feet.
