Mitigation is defined as sustained actions taken to reduce or eleminate long-term risk to people and property from hazards and their effects. Hazard mitigation is important for people living in areas which are regularly affected by natural hazards like high temperature, tornadoes, severe winter temperature and weathers etc. These affects may not happen on a regular basis but it becomes pretty predictable that it will cause a huge amount of damage to property and people whenever it strikes. These kind of incidents make it important for people to have Hazard Mitigation.
