What should be done to solve the following equation?

x + 8 = 14

Subtract 8 from the left side of the equation.
Subtract 14 from both sides of the equation.
Add 8 to both sides of the equation.

the answers it  to subtract 8 from both sides of the equation. what ever you do it need to be done to both sides.  it is subtract not add because the 8 is being added to x and subraction undos multiplication
