How did the revolt in Haiti influence Napoleon's decision to sell Louisiana

He decided to sell Louisiana because he no longer needed it. Napoleon wanted to take over some of the Carribean colonies and then use Louisiana to trade the good he would get from Lousiana. He was unable to do so because of the revolt in Haiti. He wasted many soldiers and still lost the battle so he gave up.
