Saturated fats are used for storing energy in animal body. Saturated fats form closely packed clusters, and can easily solidify at room temperatures. It is used for bodily energy needs, and at the time of the rquirement of extra energy, i.e., high physical activity.

It is called saturated fats. These are fat molecules that have no twofold securities between carbon particles since they are soaked with hydrogen particles. Saturated fats are ordinarily strong at room temperature. Food that usually contains this fat is fatty pork, cream, butter and cheese.
