Shakespeare's Macbeth is considered a masterpiece of the B. tragedy genre. Shakespeare wrote many plays, but his tragedies are by far his most known works: Hamlet, Macbeth, King Lear, Romeo and Juliet, Othello, and others. Although he did write many comedies and historical dramas, Macbeth is not one of them. He didn't write horror genre at all, although many of his works do have some horror elements to them.
