Radiocarbon dating using C-14 is important in figuring out the ages of once alive living things. The process of using C-14 has proved to be immensely useful as it gives almost a perfect time of living of the thing of the past. All living things have decaying C-14 in them. In case of living things the C-14 gets replenished. In case of living things of the past, the C-14 never gets replenished and starts to decay. Calculating this amount of Decay in C-14, the scientists can exactly predict the time when the thing was living. Archeologists have found this method very useful in determining the age of skeletons they find during excavation.
