Mitochondria is rod-shaped while chloroplast is lens-shaped. Mitochondria contains cristae and fold of inner membrane while chloroplast contains thalakoids, stroma and grana. Mitochondria is found in plant and animals cells while chloroplast can only be found in plants and algal cells. Mitochondria is involved in aerobic respiration while chloroplast is involved in photosynthesis.
