Amino acids

Amino acids are the smaller building blocks that make up proteins. There are more than fifty acids and each one of them is a little different from the other. They are used in every cell of the body, specifically to build proteins that the body needs in order to survive. Out of the over 50 amino acids in the body, only 20 are used to make the proteins, though. Nine of which are called essential while the remaining 11 can be synthesized by an adult body.
