I'm pretty sure the space is a "+".
so the question was 8-(2+5) which is eual to (first the bracket) 8-7, which is 1
H=1
if you ignore the bracket you have 8-2+5, which is (first the left side) 6+5, which is 11
T=11
and H-T=1-11=-10!
