Cells that are unspecialized, so they can differentiate into any type of tissue of a plant are meristem. The cells in the meristematic regions are undifferentiated cells. They have the capacity to undergo mitotic divisions and divide into new cells. Regarding other choices, parenchyma cells have a great role in photosynthesis and food storage, while phloem and xylem are transport tissues.
