Maria Montessori was an Italian physician and educator. She believed that children would learn on their own when given the opportunity in a structured environment.
She is best known for her scientific work in educational philosophy and pedagogy. Among her many accomplishments is the Montessori Method of learning. This is an educational method where the leaners (children) are given freedom to explore new things out of their own initiative and natural abilities practically] without any manipulation or abstractions. Thus, giving them a chance to develop their reasoning, imagination and creativity.
