6 1/2 times something equals 30 1/3
divide 30 1/3 by 6 1/2, which equals 182/39
now simplify which equals 4 2/3
so the width is 4 2/3 inches.

Answer:

\texttt{Width of rectangular picture frame}=4(2)/(3)inch

Explanation:

The area of a rectangular picture frame is 30 1/3 square inches. The length of the frame is 6 1/2.

\texttt{Length of rectangular picture frame = }6(1)/(2)=(6* 2+1)/(2)=(13)/(2)inch

\texttt{Area of rectangular picture frame = }30(1)/(3)=(30* 3+1)/(3)=(91)/(3)inch^2

Area of rectangle = length x width

We have

(91)/(3)=(13)/(2)* \texttt{Width}\\\\\texttt{Width}=(91)/(3)* (2)/(13)=(14)/(3)=4(2)/(3)inch

\texttt{Width of rectangular picture frame}=4(2)/(3)inch
