Kinetic energy = (1/2) (mass) (speed)²

1,080 J = (1/2) (60 kg) x (speed)²

(speed)² = 1,080 J / 30 kg = 36 m²/s²

Speed = √(36 m²/s²) = 6 m/s .

We can't say anything about the jogger's velocity, since there is
no information in the question to describe the direction of his motion.
