During the Age of Exploration the Spanish, French and English wanted to acquire territory in North America. This era is also called the Age of Discovery and it was when Europe began exploring the world by sea in search of new trading routes, wealth and knowledge. By acquiring lands massive wealth was accured for European colonizers. This age goes from the 15th thru the 17th centuries.
