The northern European Renaissance artist known as the "Leonard of the North" was a) Albrecht Durer. Albrecht Durer was a painter, printmaker, and theorist in the German Renaissance. He involved a vast number of different aspects into his work such as mathematics, perspective and ideal proportions and since he knew many Italian artists and German humanists, he became one of the most important figures in the Northern Renaissance.
