Why is location on a fault line a natural hazard?

Fault lines have huge floodplains.
Movement of tectonic plates causes earthquakes.
Storm surges occur along fault lines.
Fault lines cause hurricanes to form.

Fault lines are where two plate tectonics meet.  When they move against each other, they cause earthquakes and tsunamis.
