How did Harriet Tubman become the conductor of the underground railroad?

She escaped from a farm i think in order to escape slavery and headed up north. However she decided she wanted to help others too, so risking her life, she would help others sneak away from slavery and run away to the North.

P.S. The underground railroad was never underground or a railroad

after she got to safety she decided to risk her life and go back to save other slaves so they could be free too
