You can divide 12min.➗30lps. Then you divide 48➗120lps.
And the answer will be 12➗30=0.4 then 48➗120=0.4 and the answer is that the ratios or rates are equvalent by dividing.

Answer:

The ratios are equivalent.

Explanation:

This problem can be solved by finding the frequencies of both data sets, i.e. finding the amount of laps that are done per minute.

First Set:

The first ratio states that 30 laps are done in 12 minutes:

(30)/(12)

dividing both parts of the fraction by twelve, will give the ratio in laps per minute:

(2.5)/(1)

Second Set:

Repeat the process, this time dividing by 48

The result:

(2.5)/(1)

Thus, both sets have frequencies of 2.5 laps per minute.
