Am I correct at all? I need help. In what way did President Grant's approach to Reconstruction differ from that of President Johnson? He expanded the power of the Freedmen's Bureau. He jailed Confederate leaders who had been pardoned. (He used the military to protect African Americans from violence. <- My Answer) He blocked Southern states from gaining readmission to the Union.

"He expanded the power of the Freedmen's Bureau" would be the best option from the list, since Grant was far more interventionist when it came to the federal presence during Reconstruction in the South.
