-x^(-y)

You have to know that every number to negative power is the inverse, for example:

3^(-1)=(1)/(3^1)

in this exercise we will make the same thing

when
x=-2~~and~~y=3

-(-2)^(-3)

let's do the inverse

-(1)/((-2)^3)

now
(-2)^3=-8

-(1)/(-8)

doing the signal rule

\boxed{\boxed{(1)/(8)}}
