Equation is the vocabulary words in mathematics that contains quantities and operations performed on them.
Example of equation:
5x + 2x – 10 = 50
7x = 50 + 10
7x = 60
7x / 7 = 50 / 7
x = 7.14
This is an equation, notice that inside it contains integers, operations and variables. Variables is used to represents unknown numbers, operations are used to compute the given equation and integers are the numbers used to show the quantity in certain equation.
