The Songs of Experience, by William Blake, is a book of poems that explores the darker side of human nature (D).
William Blake compares the innocent world of a child to the dark, corrupt and repressive world of an adult. Some of the poems in the collection speak of the innocence of childhood while other poems speak of the harshness and darkness of the adult world. This collection of poems as a whole represents the two sides of human nature.
