NICE QUESTION THE ANSWER IS...|-3| is an absolute value so, it is actually just 3 and -3 is negative 3... have a nice day

|-3| and -3 are two different numbers |-3| is 3 and -3 is -3 the line in front and back of the -3 means it is positive the -3 does not have those line so it stays negative.
