Intestine
The structure in the digestive system that comes in direct contact with the circulatory system for transfer of nutrients into the blood is the intestines. Intestines is where the absorption of nutrients happens, the metabolized and broken down materials are processed and the final step in the digestive process. Specifically, the small intestine is the intestine which is primarily connected to the blood stream and the blood vessels.
