One pencil is randomly selected from a case containing 3 red, 4 green, 2 black and 6 blue pencils. What is the probability of a green pencil being chosen?

First off, you add the total amount of pencils which is as follows:

3+4+2+6=15

There are 15 pencils

There are 4 green pencils so the comparison/probability is equivalent to the following:

4:15,
(4)/(15) , 26%
