There are several ways to show what a molecule or compound contents. You can use the empirical formula, or the molecular formula or the structural formula. The empirical formula shows the names of the compounds and their proportion in the compound. Molecular formula tell the number of each atoms of each element inside a molecule. Structural formula says the form of the molecules, this is the way the atoms are bonded to each other.
