First find how much she had to pay for the items without tax. This would be $1.29+$0.89= $2.18. Now add the tax to your answer. $2.18+$0.14= $2.32 To find her change, you have to subtract $2.32 from $5. $5.00-$2.32= $2.68. Her change should be $2.68
